Right now I am madly in love with Kimi ni Todoke. WHY?? Well because it reminds me so much of my favorite anime series... Honey and Clover. Although the stories are really different from one another they both have the same feel and tone (right down to the pastelly art style ^_^ ). Both series focus on a central theme of self discovery and friendship and love. The type of humor in both series is very similar too and both series have a knack for giving you lovely portrayals of the characters' thoughts and feelings.

Kimi ni Todoke has one almost side-story (but of sizeable duration) with such mild lyrical mood as Honey and Clover is full of.
Both anime are gentle, sweet, and innocent, unlike certain romance anime that include hentai things.
Another thing about the anime is that they both kind of drag along for awhile, from the first season into the second. Sometimes, it gets kind of irritating, with the misunderstandings, but overall, I liked both anime.

-Both are a very slow paced anime and time seems to fly by for the characters in the anime.
-Both have romance between the characters.
-Both show the truth about life.
-Both have a very innocent and honest main female character.
-Both have comedy in it at random times.

They have visually similar pastel color palette, slow paced mood and tone. Although one is set in university while the other takes place at highschool, finding beauties in the mundane everyday slice of life is quite perceptible. In addition, for both series the main love interest is a carefree happy-go-lucky yet charismatic lad with complex friendship dynamics revolving around friendly characters enjoying the company of their peers during the best years of their fleeting youth, evoking a sense of bittersweet nostalgia towards unrequited love triangles and at the uncertainty of teenagers and young adults ever looming future.
Straightup too good, don't reccommend watching this whilst dealing with major depression, but nonetheless sweet anime, completely takes you to this goofy and charming of a world.
Romance anime with drama. You'll get the feel of Hachimitsu to Clover while watching Kimi ni Todoke. However Hachimitsu to Clover's story is heavier than Kimi ni Todoke, since one's demographic is Josei and one is Shoujo.
