-They revolve around supernatural beings trying to make their way in the real world. One a heroic character who has qualities that make them seem non-heroic (Mirai and Emilia) and a demonic character who tries his best to make himself seem less like a villain.
-KnK and Hataraku find ways to make the action scenes hilarious in ways, although Hataraku Maou-sama manages to do it a lot more.
-Most of the times KnK and Hataraku are drawn with bright and cheery animation, but when the action scenes come they generally both turn to a must darker tone.
