Gundam IBO and the Code Geass franchise are stories that are heavily motivated by political turmoil.
Having similar genres and characters (i.e. a strategist/leader and a brilliant mecha pilot), both series are highly recommended shonen epics which will undoubtedly keep viewers hooked until the final showdown.

Though not very obvious at first glance, the similarities between these series are endless. Code Geass has a political motive and Iron-Blooded Orphans feature teenagers who try to create a place they can call home. To achieve their goals, they form groups mainly consisting of outlaws with no place to go. They start out with little power but rapidly rise as they make their way toward their destination.
From both anime you can expect big mecha's battling it out for high stakes in fluid top notch animation.
Do you like awesome mecha designs? Global/interstellar conflicts? Great dubs? I would lobby that both series are extremely similar which would make sense as both are products of sunrise. Geass does take the conflict a little further and has some pretty insane moments, but it should be recognized that IBO also has its fair share of grit. I think if you enjoyed IBO, you will love Geass for all it has to offer.
Aside from the obvious mecha genre i got the same vibe from the characters.
Everyone, especially the MCs are damn serious about the matter at hands, they may be underage but they know the game well and are ready to play and gamble against the big shots. Even the more naive character get her shit together mid-season.
In similarities Both are mecha genre with great music and have a political issue
The story of this series is Very good and with music it's awsm you will get experience at EP 1 end and you will be hooked.
This was my first gundam series and i enjoyed very much So I suggest that you should give a try.
Character design :- i say good not much excellent but it was good
For Art :- it differs from other mecha genre like they shoot beams blah blah blah you will get awsmness and coolness in this series
For enjoyment It's Worth it..
