Both MC's are weak in the beginning, but become stronger and stronger later in anime with a little help from their friends.
Both have comedy, lots of action and fighting.
Both MC's care about friends and are heroic - willing to do all it takes to help them, even if they have to risk their own lives.
Great soundtracks
This is similar to Boku by regards of learning how to harness their power and grow stronger with every fight and the knowledge of the pros and cons of there fight. personally I think this anime is great for beginners getting into anime. Both animes have good life lesson for everyone in reality also. Good shows for kids, it shows passion, strength and the good you should strive for in life.

Both involve similar underdog type characters, Izuku Midoriya (My Hero Academia) and Kenichi Shirahama (Kenichi: History's Strongest Disciple). Both are weak at the beginning but become stronger through out the course of their series. They also have various mentors that teach them, for Izuku it involves training to become a licensed hero and for Kenichi his training is to help him master multiple martial arts. Each series also strikes the right balance of drama and humor, able to have light-hearted funny moments while also having some decent fighting action as well as emotional drama.
