Relationships between the main characters and their friends have many similarities, and this is a big thing because personal relationships are important in both series. Also one can say that Strike the Blood is more “calm” version of Date A Live in this matter.

Both Strike the Blood and Date A Live follow a similar format where each "arc" follows the protagonist meeting a new female character whom he tries to save and after each girls respective arc they slowly start to fade away into the background and their only defining character trait is that they now love the protagonist, which becomes more and more apparent as the seasons go on and the dudes harem grows at an alarming pace.
Both series are fun action-y type shows with a lot of fanservice and new girls every few episodes, I recommend both shows to anyone who is into that sorta
