In addition to having a similar premise, Shaman King also has an offbeat feel to it, just like Bleach. If you can sit through a few of the early episodes(Which try to be Yu Yu Hakusho meets Yugioh), a great adventure show waits just beneath the surface. Both shows have a unique protagonist.

Bleach and Shaman King both have to do with swords. But instead of the token main character, they are unique. Ichigo Kurosaki, unlike the other shounen protagonists, doesn't set a goal for himself, and just tries to defeat a guy because it's the right thing to do. You, however, is more laid back, but can get serious when needed. Also they both involve spirits.

Both anime are based on manga by Shounen Jump, and have a similar premise. Both have a main character who can see and interact with spirits, and who meets a lot of new friends, but also new enemies in his journey. Both main characters have similar ability, as they are skilled swordsmen with unique weapons. Both anime are action-packed, have a similar kind of humor and similar overall vibe.
