Kids with a disability cause feels, for Silent Voice it's deafness and being too passive when making friends followed by the bullies point of view, for Kotoura it's ESP paired with social skills that never develop. Kotoura has a much shorter story with lots of filler in the middle but while Koe no Katachi takes it's time a bit it never feels as filler-y.
