I know, Kanon looks like it was made decades ago. (It actually did) but I still watched it for only about 10 times. (There are ones I've watched over 20 times and hitting 30) and Kiznaiver is rather new.
Kanon has quite a few dramatic stories and arcs, and Kiznaiver is mainly about *Ahem* Dramatic physical attacks to one another (With a scar).
But yeah, watch them both, even though people dislike Kiznaiver, and I don't get why. (Maybe they need to think more to get the story).
-Both are dramatic, and heart warming.
