Hai to Gensou no Grimgar

Both are deconstructions of "trapped in another world" stories, focusing on protagonists who are in no way prepared to deal with the situation they've been pulled into, and are forced to struggle their way through various trials to make ends meet. Both shows also feature red-haired heroines- in fact, Youko can easily be seen as a combination of Yume and Shihoru, having the red hair and kind, sensitive personality of the former and shyness of the latter.
I prefer "The Twelve Kingdoms", as it has a much better story and far more character development, though "Grimgar" has better visuals and music.
