Bang Dream is a Band Anime while Love Live School Idol Project is an Idol Anime.
Both shows have a cute ditzy cheerful lead that everyone loves. One loves Bread while the other love Shiny things.
Both have pretty cute girl mates and each one refuses to be a part of Band/Idol Group at first due to personal reasons.
They have the same vibe and atmosphere and seems that almost no males are shown in their universe.
Both are pretty good light hearted Slice of Life shows that deal with pursuing a dream or passion shared by their teammates. Stories about struggles and joy of being an School Idol

A group of female high schoolers are formed together to create music out to the world. Each character have their own distinct trait; the MC are similar as well - in how enthusiastic they both could be and how they were inspired by another idol group which made them form their very own. Artwork are very similar for both anime too.

Both of the show is about music and it's mostly filled with girls
Bang dream is where there's a person who want to forming a band
Love live is where the protagonist school is about to get closed and she becoming an idol with other member in order to save her school
Both is really great and one of my favourite anime, i recommend watch both of them ^^

Both anime have a cheerful protagonist that wants to form a musical group. They both try their hardest to do so. Also, the other characters get enough screen time and have completely different personality witch you don't see very often in anime.
Both shows share similar premises, revolving around a group of girls who decide to create a music group on a whim. They both also share lots of similar plot points/drama, and tend to have 'unrealistic' developments to the plot

- The MC (Kousaka, Honoka) has the exact same personality as the MC in BanG Dream (Toyama, Kasumi)

Both shows follow a group of high school girls who pursue music. In Love Live, the girls form an idol group and in BanG Dream, they form a band. Both shows are mostly light-hearted and cute and are mostly character-driven instead of plot-driven. Overall, both shows have extremely similar vibes.
I love how deep there friendships are, they overcome tons of challenges together that's what I think that makes them similar also there "song" related and tons of good songs
Both anime are in the music genre and are perfect for those who really like anime music. Speaking of music, their OSTs and Insert Songs are really good, as well as their OP and ED.

SIP is focused more on school idols while BD is focused on the band itself

For anyone wanting good dynamics between the members of a band, while also getting to know them individually, both of these are good
Both features high school girls forming a music group (For love live is school idol, for BanG Dream is a band)
Both have a generally cheerful but do feature some emotional moments.
Both features leaders (Kasumi and Honoka) who inspire their groupmate with their passion.
