Aikatsu is aimed at a younger audience and is less "slice of life" than Love Live (with a small scifi element) - but if you like idols, optimism, and lots of cute likable characters, you'll probably like Aikatsu as well.

Although aimed at a younger audience, Aikatsu is another idol anime that portrays a group of girls hoping to achieve their dreams. While Love Live! has more realistic elements, Aikatsu is fun to watch if you have an open mind or a little childishness in your heart.
