Oshiete! Galko-chan has become well-loved by parts of the anime community for its efforts to demystify and normalize normal parts of the female experience, but I think it's important to remember that Kyou no Asuka Show was doing many of the same things 4 years earlier. While Galko-chan took a broader approach towards dismantling female stereotypes, Asuka Show specifically examines the sexual tensions men experience concerning women, and through its main character these tensions are presented as ridiculous and unnecessary.
