Everything starts off cute and girly, then an accident happens where the main character discovers that she's a special person related to supernatural and non-human events, but makes new friends and starts to live their new lives as normal, and then the dark plot twist happens
Taking place in alternate universes, both series features a strong female cast with a small colorful cast of characters. There is magic/power to behold and discovery as the story progresses. The main female protagonists trains to master special powers after discovering she has a special gift after one day. Although they both have a story, at times, scenarios will give off a slice of life feeling. But despite this, there is a decent amount of material covered from their adapted manga works. If you're looking for a series with cute girls and energy, give these two a try.
Both are spin-off of some series done in different style. Both have cute girls doing cute things with some ecchi moments.
Both are spin-off series from Shounen shows with STRONG Yuri undertones. Both basically just exist for fun, they don't want or need deep, meaningful plots, and both achieve this brilliantly.
Both are moe spin-offs of your favorite shounen series.
Both are well made spin-offs where Fate/kaleid is very close to canon and NOT is canon.
Both can get very dark even for their happy moe settings.
