Both have a similar comedic vibes. Both Rikka and Hiyori have a dramatic background and feel sympathy towards their love ones (Yuuta for romance and Yato and Yukine for friendship), such as when Rikka cries because of the loss of her father and because she has strong feelings for Yuuta and Hiyori cries because she does not like to loss her friends (Yato and Yukine). Both Yuuta and Yato have a hard time adjusting to Rikka and Hiyori and later, after getting to know each other more in both series, they needed the girls importantly.
