Am I able to make the recommendation without spoilers? Simply, the characters are similar, and the plots contain similar tropes. To go into detail would give away spoilers for both series.

The heroine is mentally absent, puzzled, confused, obedient, submissive, has a lack of own opinions, no temper and is boring. There's nor charm nor allurement. Both girl protagonists resemble each other. There's a supporting character (in Kimi: the sister | in Amnesia: the ghost) who is kind of annoying. The difference is Amnesia includes more fantasy moments while Kimi ga Nozimu Eien has none of these.
I regret I've watched Kimi but Amnesia seems to get interesting. Edit: nah, now I regret watching both. But the Amnesia ghost gets somehow cute and the end is appealing in contrast to the rest.
