Basically the same premise in both. Guy has an "imaginative" childhood, becomes ashamed of said childhood, switches schools to avoid being bullied, meets girl at new school that is currently having an "imaginative" period, guy inevitably gets mixed up in the girl's "adventures", and resolves himself to help her return to reality.

Almost the same plot: the girl is "affected" by the "chuunibyou syndrome", while the boy was affected by the same syndrome in his past. Both have romance, but Aura is less comedy and more dramatic with seinen elements.

Aura is a film about Eighth-grader syndrome (Chuunibyou) characters. They also share romance, drama, and comedy. I recommend this to all fans looking for more chuunibyou-action!

Both involves female character with chuunibyou syndrome, and a male character who were done with all of those things.

The storyline is very similar: the guy helps the girl to return from an imagined fantasy world to normal life.

Both the main male characters used to be Chuunibyou and in both anime the girls are still Chuunibyou who end up fallen for the guy.

The similarities of both these anime focus around the two main characters. The main girl is a delusional character, know to have chuunibyou or "Eight-grade delusions". The main guy is someone who also experienced having that trait when he was young and now tries to get rid of it by starting a new life. However, having both main guys meet the main girls creates a great disaster! It's like the guy's past is still following him. The whole story revolves around how our characters deal with their conflicts and accepting what they really are and what they become.

Both deals with characters with Chuunibyou Syndrome and their attempts to have a normal life.. The plot is quite similar, however Aura has a much more darker element..

This about chuunibyou syndrome too. Ichirou once called himself "Maryuin Koga" and behaved as if he were a hero in a fantasy world. At his new school, he tries to behave like a normal boy, but one day he meets a girl with chuunibyou syndrome. Story like "Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!" huh.

the plot of the two is very similar, showing a boy who always fantasized but stopped doing that and then find a girl who takes new to this fantasy world through a novel, but the difference is that in Chuunibyou the comedy has greater prominence, Aura is now much more realistic, including bullying and portrays the difficulties of those facing these problems, but also presents points of comedy and have a great end, who watched a for sure shall watch the other ..

Both anime r really similar in term of plot and setting Both MC got issue of Eight grade Syndrome and trying to get back to normal life chuunibyou is more comedy and Aura is more Serious Eight grade Syndrome means the people who are considering Fantasy world as reality and try to act like they have super power but in reality its not

Satou Ichirou (Aura) have the same condition as Yuuta Togashi (Chuunibyou), they tried to forget the past and behaves like a normal child, but in her new school she was close to the same severe heroin with him in the past. in Aura, I did not catch the romance between the two protagonists, because the story ending up as heroin saved from bullying classmates. but it still has a good story because heroin is more extreme than Rikka Takanashi in trust in his fantasy world.

Both worlds are very similar to each other. The main hero and heroine are similar.

In both anime, the male MC with a Chuunibyou-influenced past meets a girl, who is currently in her Chuunibyou-phase, in his first year in highschool. He then tries to get her out of her phase while in the meantime facing his own past. (mini spoiler) In the end, they both enter a relationship (though I guess it's not really 'in the end' in Chuunibyou). Aura feels a tad more serious though, as Chuunibyou had a lot more time to go through the serious phases and was thus able to have a good portion of comedy and romantic development in between, whereas Aura (due to it being   read more

Both talks about how hobbyists (or chuuni) face their surroundings. To give us a view how chuuni see and face their environment, also how their environment threat them. Both of them got drama but chuunibyou gives us more romance because of the characters' relationship's development.

While both anime are similar, being the main girl has a delusions & the main dude is trying to do something about her delusions. Chuunibyou has a more lighthearted and comedic story. Aura takes a more realistic and mature approach to the story and characters. Also, Chuunibyou is a series while Aura is a movie.

At first glance, Aura: Maryuuin Kouga Saigo no Tatakai appears to be a Chuunibyou clone and for all intents and purposes it largely was, and I went in not expecting much. But where Chuunibyou was mostly a comedy/ romance, Aura took a much more real stance and leaned more towards the Drama genre, making for a unique little movie that I thoroughly enjoyed. If you're a fan of Chuunibyou and wanted more, or liked the idea behind it but wished it was more serious, give Aura a chance, you just may end up liking it as much as I did.

this movie had a more serious take on the chuunibyo illnes show in chuunibyou. the storie is more realistic in how is the life of a real chuunibyo in higscholl and how the people react to them, if you always wanted to know on a more serious take of the chuunibyou illnes this movie is for you plus the love storie of the main protagonists is really good

Both have basically a same plot - in childhood, main character was "busted" in imagined fantasy world and after time he normalizes. Later he meet girl with same problem and he tries to help her.

It is basically the same idea of a story both main characters have a chuunibyou syndrome, both believe in another better world, both take place in high school. The only strong difference is that Aura is a movie and chuunibyou is a TV series.

These are both animes that are based on a female character that has chuunibyou. The other main protagonists (both male) want to forget about their old chuunibyou because they didn't have friends/were bullied for it. These both have romance elements but I don't even like romance and I enjoyed these both so I hope you do too.

~both have similar plot . ~female lead has a delusions and the male lead is trying to do somethig. ~one is realistic and other one is hilarious.

Both of these animes/movie is about a pair of students who meet in an intriguing way. Both of the animes are about the main girl who is a bit delusional who thinks she's in a different world and has these "special" powers while the guy in both of the stories "was" like the girl but not anymore. Both of the animes revolve around the guy "protecting" or trying to take care of the wild girl. The shows are very similar except for the fact that Aura is a movie and is missing the comedy tag making Aura a bit more of a serious anime.
