If you are looking for something truly original, then these anime might be for you. While the content and execution of these series are very different—one is about trying to cure a disease-ridden dystopia using mushrooms and the other is about finding love in the midst of a struggle between man-eating beasts and those who have hunted them for millennia—I cannot say that there is much media out there resembling either one.
