Another anime series where two top students constantly bicker and compete to be the best. It's also similar in the way that they're surrounded by a group of friends who are quirky and fun, mostly to offset the tension between the two main characters.
Both Anime Are Very Similar. Like Both Are About Topstudents. They're Also About A Girl Does Want To Be Better As Someone. Really This Anime Was My First Thought When I Watched the First Episode
Both of these animes is about a girl who is perfect in almost everything and a guy that is better than they are. In both animes the girl is always trying to beat the guy in something . In both animes the guy likes the girl!! Both are funny and romantic!! If you like Special A you will like Kare Kano too!!!

They are both comedy love story.
The main characters are both intelligent and the top of the class.
Another thing, the guys are the first ones that fell in love to the girl..
In both titles a girl and boy are rivals in school, but as the story progresses they fall in love.
Both animes have similar main characters. Hikari in Special A is smart and her goal is to beat Takashima, her rival. Miyazawa in Kare kano is smart, intelligent, and very competitive when it comes to her grades. In the beginning, her rival is arima who gets a grade higher than hers for the entrance exam. They both fall for their rivals. Thoug kare kano is more romantic.
Both animes focus on constant competition between two rivals who are love interests. Also, the boy in either couple both seem effortless at their attempts to be number one, while the girls work extremely hard.

In both we have a girl who wants to be the best student and a boy who is better than her. Competitions exist in both. There are good comic scenes and good romantic scenes too. Similarities in characters exist.
Those two are simply similar to me. But, in my opinion, Special A is better.
Both characters are rivals of each other that eventually fall in love with one another.

Kare Kano and Special A have a lot in common. The girls seem to be both best at everything till one guy shows up, who does everything just a little better. A lot of tension comes of till the romance starts to begin (:
in both, they at first are rivals, espcialy in the girls eyes. but they both find love in their rivalry(but in kareshi kanojo no jijou/his and her circumstances the love is much more serious).

Both shows involve the serious yet slightly lighthearted rivalry between the usually calm male protagonist and the competitive female protagonist, which leads to the development of romance between the two
