Share a similar atmosphere, with underground gangs having superpowers in a similar setting.
Both animes have cities that exist in real life but are extremely different from their counterparts in reality. These cities are strange yet familiar, and the music in both are really good. They also both have organizations that have psychic powers. Kekkai Sensen is the more sophisticated and fleshed out of the two, though. Definitely more worth your time than K.

how to main characyer is an important aspect to them and is bestowed with highly great powers
Both anime show consistently amazing fights and the scenes are well directed too
Both anime are hidden gems that take place in a city and have cool characters as well as visually creative battles.
