The witches, magic, artstyle and general whimsical feel of the movie are very similar to Little Witch Academia, while the dramatic and emotional moments are reminiscent of the more serious parts of Ghibli movies.

Short, family-friendly adventures starring heroic young witches in a modern world. Both feature top notch animation and are a ton of fun. Little Witch Academia features younger protagonists and is set at a magic school similar to Hogwart's; Majokko Shinmai stars a protagonist who takes on more adult responsibilities as she adventures in a fantasy world and our own.
Both movies are featuring magical world and have similar lively and bright atmosphere. Main heroines have alike personalities being kind and positive but a bit of a trouble maker. Finally, movies have slightly similar art styles.
