Both are battle royal anime that has a video game come to life scenario. In Darwin's Game, Kaname downloads a mobile app and is given a sigil or ability that he uses to fight other players and win challenges. In Btooom!, Ryouta is brought to an island and is forced to kill other players using bombs, which is exactly like the in-anime, titular video game he frequently plays.

1) The main characters are both trapped in a survival game.
2) In Darwin's Game the plot is progressing in Tokyo while in Btooom's case, the protagonist is transported to an unknown island along with the other players.
3) In both anime the female protagonist is in love with the main character and tries to assist him
4) Sudou Kaname is quite similar to Sakamoto Ryouta (Btooom's protagonist) with quick thinking and puzzle solving skills.
5) All of the players, in both anime, are given something (bombs in Btooom & sigils in D-Game) to either kill others or avoid being killed.

Both anime has people that forced into a survival game and genius protagonist with good skills and kind heart. Also both of them has thrilling, non-stop action with good animations.
Both very very interesting survival anime game. Each life depends on how they survive the game.

Both are Battle Royale animes and we follow the main character making new friends in order to survive. They are both very good animes if you like the survival side.

after i finished Btooom!, i just realized this series have same vibe like Darwin's Game. Both are Battle Royale themed anime which is really good!

They are both survial anime with a pretty similar Mc. Also, both are rather unknown anime.
The protagonist is suddenly thrown into a "battle-royale-like" environment where everyone is an enemy. The female lead met along becomes the most valuable person to the protagonist
