The romance in both stories has an almost immediate entrance, which opens up to a lot of interaction between the characters and hilarities ensues. Plus the male leads both has more to them than their looks.

"Ookami" is the reverse of "Tonari". High strung characters meet supposedly strait laced characters. Their fumbling attempts at romance leave us with some hilarious, yet tender moments.

Both are about teenage romance, romance have some good parts and bad parts, and they have their groups of friends from school.

-there is a cold main character who finds the other characters annoying
-the rolls are just practically reversed
-the animation is very similar
-it is also taken about in a light, comedic way
-it had very sweet moments
-the guy was very protective of the girl
-there was some cute bickering

Both anime are romances, and the main heroines struggle with their emotions and work hard to get their love interest. Lots of feelsXD
Both involve characters that are compared to animals and are "harsh" or "moody". Both have characters that have to "take care" of another in a pet like way that leads to eventual romance.
