The story of a cold, calculating protagonist's quest for revenge and all the people caught in his way; both are accompanied by a quieter friend who appears on the surface to be the shy voice of reason.
There's also a fair bit of similarity between the internal family-based strife in both shows, though of course, Zetsuen no Tempest happens in a more fantastical setting and has a magic orientated plot. 91 Days is set against a gritty backdrop of Prohibition Era US, and is more liberal when it comes to killing off characters.
