First of all, both are exceptional school romance anime with relatively slow paced story and character build up.
Both anime showcase the reality and crude side of the real world whereby hard-work might not be enough to catch your dream, however, the 'never give up' spirit might turn things around in the future.
Both anime come with dramas that might get emotional and bring back the feeling of when we first time fall in love.
If you like sweet romance stories with a bit of drama, you will like botb of those shows. Both are quite slow paced but satisfying.
Both main characters have different talents and dreams for the future, so the shows are not all about romance 24/7, but the characters feel realistic and not just existing for the sole purpose of falling in love.
