Edgerunners and Psycho-Pass function as excellent examples of the cyberpunk genre with similar strengths but different tones and perspectives.
Edgerunners examines those on the margins partnering together and crossing each other as needed to survive in the brutally unforgiving world of Night City controlled by mega corporations. The color and style of the show are bright and flashy which to speaks to the multitude of identities being haphazardly thrown together and forced to stand out to get ahead.
Psycho-Pass takes place in an ostensibly utopic society where people's state of minds can be assessed by the state. It tackles the ethics of an "ideal society" and

Both are cyberpunk stories with lots of action,stylish visuals and animation as well as also lot of gore in it as well too and characters being killed at any moment.

If you told me these take place in the same universe I might believe you. Psycho pass is a lot less flashy and a little more contemplative, but both are adult, violent, and about free will in a dystopian cyberpunk city.

Both take place in futuristic dystopias in which the main characters are forced to navigate a world controlled by evil from the shadows, and have amazing themes and messages. Both are well paced and have very entertaining, high stakes plots that make you think. They're some of my favorite anime that I've seen.
Both take place in a futuristic city, usually taking place at night. Both have complex characters, and the characters dont always win, so they can get pretty dark at times. Psycho pass is a little bit darker and psychological, however there are many similarities and both are great animes
