Both have a big focus on drama around the different characters, and both are about girls in school who take part in a music oriented club.
Lighthearted slice of life series about a club of friends joining together. Tari Tari and Hanayamata has a sense of youth. And with that, they grow together as classmates, as club members, and as friends. While both series does have slice of life themes, they also have an ongoing story relating to their club. They demonstrate the potential of their club to the world to see with their best efforts. It's also noticeable that in both series, characters are explored individually through flashbacks and relationships with others. I recommend both series for any viewers who are interested in a slice of life show with club

Creating clubs because of their interest gathering members from scratch for them to have a wonderful school life. Hanayamata it's Yosakoi Club and for Tari Tari it's Choir club both are different but still great series to watch.
Both feature an over-passionate MC who wants to form a high school club on a certain activity. Both clubs have trouble establishing the club and finding new members while facing active sabotage from the higher-ups.
