Both centre around a high school setting where the main character is somewhat forced into joining a club. Both main characters have minimalist world views and are fairly cynical. Also, both of the clubs that the anime features are focused on helping others.

-both male characters have their own views about world,straight forward and calm
-both male characters change with time
-understanding,friendship and high school life...
Witty dialogue and cynical male lead. Also the task-enforcing girls in both anime.
They're both pretty fun to watch, although that's just my opinion. And a couple hundred-thousand's, too.

Hyouka and (specifically, from season 2) Oregairu are dramatic, lightly romantic, and character-driven anime revolving around a high-school club that put a light focus on their plots for the sake of a heavier focus on their thematics. If you're looking for stories that focus on "why" over "what", these are good titles to check out.
The main character of each show has a distinct view on life that affects the relationships he makes. Eventually his views are challenged by the main female protagonist in each show. They both are slice of life shows, however they have deeper subtext. Romance, while not the forefront, plays a big part into the story in both.
