At first glance it may look like a big stretch, as Scum's wish is about romance, and has no comedy in it whatsoever, but it's also a show about broken characters and their serious flaws, it's also targeting a more mature audience (despite the school setting), and its story is told is a similarly depressive, yet beautiful manner.
