There are quite a few thematic similarities between Pandora Hearts and Fullmetal Alchemist. If you liked one, you'll most likely like the other.
- both are plot heavy dark fantasies
- both have young, plucky blonde teenage boy protagonists
- both feature a large horrific, mysterious tragedy that happened in the past
- both have tragic or horrible major plot points, especially as more of the past or the true nature of things is revealed
- both have a missing, mysterious father figure
- both feature a pocket watch (haha)
