They both contain a male protagonist who is in love with the girl and helps her out with her journey. Both contain hilarious comedy and are incredibly funny. Both of the female protagonists are unsure about the the guy at first. I can't quite fit the similarities in this paragraph with out it being a page long. If you liked one, I guarantee you'll love the other.

Both stories involve a japanese school-aged teenager working as a type of servant for an aristocratic female.

These two series brought me lot of joy to watch. ZNT and GS have lot of similarities - for example there are two main characters in both series, the female and male hero who are madly in love, but the female character always acts pushy, noisy, aggressive, upset, jealous and of course call's her male friend a servant all the time and bullies him.
And the male character always shows his love, courage and will to defend his beloved Louise/Victorica in full action and adventure story of love and courage.
If you watched ZNT you will definitely love Gosick or in another way.
Imagine Zero no Tsukaima without comedy and magic, placed somewhere in time (for example, 10 years after WWI), seasoned with some mystery... Now it's no longer Zero, it's Gosick. They are so similar, yet different.
In both series, there is a couple between a native girl and a foreign boy (japanese). They start to develop feelings for each other, and need to overcome challenges togheter, one of which being the girl's family.
