Both have a very chill and relaxing atmosphere + not that much going on story-wise; just high school students doing ordinary high school things. Both also have guys as their protagonists and girls as side characters. Not much love-related stuff going on in either, just veeeeery subtle subplot (if you could even call it that in Tanaka-kun Is Always Listless' case)
Both are very calming to watch. You will be laughing one moment and other moment you will be relaxing and just like that you will complete the whole anime with a satisfying smile on your face.
