They both have a similar style of humor. At some point, both make fun of the fact that they have been adapted from manga. Most of the jokes are dialogue based, but they both have very good visual jokes as well. Cromartie focuses a lot on putting the characters in various, strange situations; however, Joshiraku does the same with its dialogue. The main difference between the two would be that Joshiraku has an all-female main cast and Cromartie is all-male cast.
