Same sort of random comedic happenstance of boys in high school environments, both ridiculous in many ways. Cromartie is more over-the-top, but not so much to be a completely different idea.

both funny and about the daily lives of high school boys at an all boys high school. Cromartie involves delinquents though and unlike this show does not rely on girls to make it funny.

Similar absurd, sometimes surreal, type of humor focused on a group of unusual high-school students. The main difference is that the deliquent motive is the core of Cromartie comedy, while in Nichijou it's only a part of a very wide array of skits.
I didn't want to believe it at first. I thought Cromartie High School was in a league of its own but I've found it's long lost bastard child. The pace of the humor, the total deadpan simplicity, everything, it's brilliant.

Short comedic skits by high school boys. Both anime follow lives of high school boys, which deal with all sorts of gags and comedy.
Similar style of comedy with the viewer expecting something crazy, yet still being surprised enough to make it funny. Likewise parodies the high school anime genre.

Two comedies set in an all-boy's school with comedy in the everyday lives of their schools as their main focus.
Perhaps the main difference is that one is a bit more 'normal' whereas the other school is mainly full of delinquents and wackier characters.

Similarities:
+ Both have the school setting.
+ They share the exact same humor, the kind of exaggerating and overdramatic humor, where all the characters make a big deal of everything.
+ Both get really badass at times.
Dissimilarities:
- Cromartie has kind of supernatural elements, but it's still part of the humor.
Both are about mostly boys attending high school and the comedic adventures that ensue. The humor is similar in both. In Danshi koukousei no nichijou the main characters are average teenagers whereas in sakigake!! Cromartie koukou the characters are supposedly all delinquents. Neither show has much of a plot and both are episodic. Both break the fourth wall fairly frequently.

Both center around high school boys who happen to get into bizarre scenarios, and are put into awkward situations with the unlikeliest of people.
Both are based off of gag-manga, and both share similar styles.
If you're looking for something dumb, and bizarrely hilarious, I highly recommend this!
Comedy anime set in a school with a predominantly male cast. The humour is similar and they both have good running jokes. Episodes are split into smaller skit episodes.
Both extremely funny
Both have no logic they are both out of context
Both all school boys and delinquents
