In both titles the MC started his school career with a bad reputation (one for fighting, the other for the looks). But they join a school club full of beautiful ladies and so the adventure begins.
Boku wa.. more focussed on getting friends and adventures with the growing group of friends
Yamada.. more focussed on... well the MC wanted to make friends to begin with... but now (with as little as spoilers I can tell) he wanted to prevent someone for returning to her original self (closed, friendless, forced to smile).
Both ani's I recommend to watch if you like comedy, harem and a little twist of seriousness
