The biggest similiarity are the "magical" objects the protagonists receive and the ensuing "survival game".
If you like to watch mentally deranged characters do horrifying stuff while looking cute, this one's also for you. However, unfortunately, "Magical Girl Site" does not have a yandere character - even though Yatsumura could have well become a lot more like Yuno if she went through the same events as her, so they're still similiar.
Also, there are a lot of depressing themes in both anime, concerning bullying, suicide attempts and rape.
