Both animes are about a boy who can't fight on his own and a girl who just goes crazy for him, and defends him all the time. Haiyore Nyaruko-san is less brutal and is more of a comedy genre anime, but I still find some similiarities between these 2 animes.
If Mirai Nikki was a (Romantic?) Comedy, this would be it. Both shows have a weak male lead and a strong female lead.
