If you take a serious look at both of them, you might discover that they are really alike. I first watched Mirai Nikki (when it was released) and two days ago I have also watched Guilty Crown; my first impression was: this is very similar to Mirai Nikki. They are both Thriller /Action /Superpower animes with the necessary drop of romance, drama and fine graphics. They are similar in graphics, in action and interest. Also, the characters are at some point alike (if we are talking about the main characters : Shuu is similar to Yuki quite a lot, even though Inori is not completely alike   read more

Rather similar type of protagonist, small similarity in the female protagonist as well. Both end in sort of a bittersweet way, also I find the overall vibes sort of matching, so if you enjoy one you are likely to enjoy the other as well!

If you liked the dynamics between the two main characters in one show, you will most likely enjoy this part of the other one as well. For once we have the boy who is rather boring, kind of helpless and pretty uninteresting at first, but gets a sudden development (even a very similar one). Then we have the pink haired girl who helps the boy survive and becomes a romantic interest (not so obvious in GC). While the girls are quite similar in their role, the character is extremly different actually. Other than that, they have a lot of action scenes, some unexpected twists (more so   read more

Powers granted to a non hero type of boy that turns out to be a great decision. Both filled with twists in the plot that you definitely do not see. Great, thrilling, weird. Add to that the special atmosphere and you got a Mindbreaking anime.

Similar scenes from time to time, Yukiteru is Shu, Yuno is Inori, both have mysterious pasts, the Void King in Guilty Crown is the God of Time and Space in Mirai Nikki. Both female protagonists have relationships with the male protagonist, both mention about the Apocalypse in a different way.

Thriller animes where the main protagonists are wimpy teenaged males who are put into a situation where they'd rather not participate in. They both go through some kind of psychological trauma leading them to losing their insanity. Both protagonists are accompanied by pink-haired females who aren't necessarily mentally stable but are important in keeping the main character alive. Seriously, both these survival/romance animes have great story plots, animation, music and excellent plot twists that will keep you wanting to watch more. If you loved either one, you'll really love the other.

I dont know about other people, but in my opinion guilty crown reminds me of mirai nikki in lots of ways. for example how the main caracters are rather frail and after some psycological trauma they both become rather insane. thats one of the things i like most in both of them. so i think those that like a the insanity from mirai nikki really should give guilty crown a try.

the characters looks exactly the same, a psycho, killer pink haired girl who wants to protect the guy she loved, Gasai Yuno and Yuzuriha Inori got the same personalty and the same look.

These two anime are very similiar once you see them. Both has a sad ending and beautiful storyline. Worth checking out.

They both have the same idea of ruling over the world, lead by the strongest "couple" which coincidentally consists of a young aimless boy and a fairly powerful pink haired girl. Also in both series the girl has a split personality (though in different ways) and the boy matures into a cool-looking cloak. Both have an intriguing element--Guilty Crown has the existence of Voids and Mirai Nikki allows the ability to see into your future. Overall I found MN to be lingering on the horror side while GC had a lot of action.

- A lot of action. - In Mirai Nikki they have the ability to use a Future Diary, and in Guilty Crown, Shu has the ability to extract voids out of human bodies. - A problem in the plot is getting worser and worser. - A lot of scenes with violenty and blood. - Yukiteru and Yuno, and in Guilty Crown: Shu, had at the beginning normal lives, but their lives do change further in the anime.

Both of these anime involve a wimpy male character getting a power by accident, and then getting thrown in a life-or-death survival situation with the help of a pink haired girl.

The similarities between Guilty Crown and Mirai Nikki are not difficult to spot. Both main characters developed a relationship. Both main characters had social anxiety issues but began to make friends as the story moved on. Both series will take you on an emotional rollercoaster. Both have great animation along with an enjoyable OST. Lastly, both series are filled with plenty of action, drama, and major plot twists.

Similar Protagonists and also similar love story and a bittersweet ending. Over all a nie story and well animated. The expression of emotions is reflected on the eyes and you learn about the characters psychological problems and get a nice insight on their personalities.

Aside from the obvious ( a duo of pink haired pycho heroines ) if you enjoyed either of these shows you should enjoy the other. Both have a great OsT and above average animation for the most part and while their stories differ, there more similar then you might initially think. Firstly they both buckle under the weight of their own respective plot holes and contrivance, yet remain enjoyable and highly binge-able. Additionally both start with piles of potential, have a second Act that goes off the rails and a third Act that some-how manages to somewhat stick the landing and tie up many of   read more
