Both anime show us a work of the informal female detectives. Both girls have a great capacity for deduction. The girls have inexperienced assistants who seem at first are skeptics.

Both anime are focused on amateur detectives, with male lead being female's assistant. They have similar atmosphere and episodic feeling while still keeping core mystery. Both series try to touch more serious subjects, like death.

Both animes are very serious shows, that have a quirky female protagonist and normal(ish) male sidekick. So, if you like the quirks of the charachters and the charms that they bring to the individual stories you will love either show.

Female leads have very similar personalities, both solving cases either as detective or forensic and psuedo detective. They also both have high school boys as assistants, however, I liked Kamisama much more. The cast of Kamisama is well rounded, characters with more depth than Sakurako's, and the ending leaves you feeling quite satisfied - no loose ends or plot holes.
