On the first few episodes, Needless might fool you into thinking that it's just another average shounen series, however, Adam (main character in Needless) quickly changes from his quiet, all-tsukkomi-role in the first few episodes to a more irreverent, questionable behaviour very simmilar to Bobobo's.
If you liked the unpredictable, non-sequitor humour of Bobobo, you'll definitely be reminded of it a few times while watching Needless.
Side notes:
The action/battles are more or less "serious" in Needless, while you'll find even more non-sequitor in the battles in Bobobo.
Adam Blade and Bobobo have the same voice actor.
Fanservice seems like a common thing in Needless.
