Slice of life that focuses on a small group of characters (mainly female) at their school. Humorous and dialogue-driven, both of these series contain many random moments. Yuyushiki has a bit more fluidity to its pacing and conversations. Nichijou is a bit more 'out there' in terms of everything.
In both series, there's the fun and lighthearted mood involving a group of characters/friends. They take on a slice of life theme with no direct story. However, what they both have is a lot of humor and catchy dialogues.
Both series are quite random and some of it does not make much sense. However, they are both entertaining in the sense of the characters' interactions.
Both series also take place at a school life setting.
Both Nichijou and Yuyushiki have cute schoolgirls that say and do random things.

Both share the element of comedy, they are also both based in school and are slice of life. The humour is also very similar. Nichijou has 26 episodes.
