MCs take care of abandoned girls in both. Similar pacing.

They follow pretty much the same "adoptive young father" premise and their source materials even go the same route. But... Usagi Drop is set in modern day Japan with a typical Office working MC. UchiMusume happens to be set in a generic Fantasy world and has an obnoxiously annoying MC.

Heartwarming slice of life about a man adopting adorable little girl because her parent died. UchiMusume has fantasy setting while Usagi Drop is modern SoL.

Both revolve around a man taking in a daughter who has been abanded. Both show difficulties of being a father and the sudden life changes (good and bad) they grow accustomed too. Both are funny, heartwarming, and enjoyable to watch. The main difference is Usagi Drop is a modern SoL and the other is Fantasy with the child being a devil. If you liked one of the series, you'll likely enjoy the other.

MC adopts little smart girl. Takes care of her and goes through regular life situations.

Both anime is about a single father raising a child. In both shows a mother does not exist. The setting is different but the heart of the story is the same. Usagi Drop is far better and much more realistic (as in "plausible"), but "If it's for my daughter..." is also rather enjoyable and watchable.
