Laughed, smiled, cried on this two anime.
Both anime has the feeling of being a parent. Though Usagi Drop is more serious than Hinamatsuri which is more comedy themed.

Male protagonist in his late 20's- early 30's who is living alone without any worries or other responsibilities has to take care of a young girl (although in usagi drop the girl doesn't have any powers) and learns to be more mature and caring towards children without any prior experience.Finally both anime series share a slice of life and happy vibe
Same kind of Dad and Daughter vibe except hinamatsuri is more funny and comedy based while Usagi Drop i more Slice of Life based.
Both shows have to do with an adult having to randomly adopt a child. Though there are challenges in parenthood they learn to adjust to their new life and find that living for other people rather then themselves makes for a wonderful and fulfilling life.
