Similar single father adopted child dynamic. Both series are set off by the death of a relative and focus deeply on fatherhood in a very sweet and touching way.

both main characters done a great job raising a kid. Good slice of life type anime that gives warm feeling.
Both involve someone deciding to raise a child, both parents are males. Both of the parents improve themselves because of who they are raising.
Both involve men learning how to be father figures and are full of funny, adorable kids. They also invoke strong feelings of nostalgia and will make you reminisce about your own family. Heartwarming!

A man takes on the role of a father to a child that he did not bear. The child has an effect on the man, making him softer and more empathetic, and over time we see their relationship grow and develop into a true father/son or father/daughter relationship.
Both are calming slice-of-life titles, and Udon no Kuni has excellent art, especially with the scenery of Kagawa. I recommend both if you are feeling down, or if you're not.

Both shows gave me a really warm feeling, and are both about people who never thought they would be parents becoming ones due to circumstances. Poco's Udon World is more supernatural but I still feel like both are very comfy shows.
Wholesome anime with a guy who comes to take care of a child

If you loved Usagi Drop, then you'll definitely love Poco's Udon World since it's pretty similar. But the difference is that in Poco's Udon World they take on a different situation where it's no more the kid being ostracized by the family because she's an illegitimate child but now the kid and guardian are afraid of what might happen if they find out what Poco actually is. Key emotional scenes like (Daikichi being worried when Rin got a fever) in Usagi Drop are also similar in Poco but either more intense or a little bit different.
