The plotline is kinda similiar in aspect to a sibling moving to one place or changing their "surroundings" to another school. They discover their common intrestest amongst friends and eventually find love
Both are dull to a sense, and nothing really happens in either of these anime..
Both are Harem with generic and cliche plot+characters
Mashiroiro has more drama though
The main protagonist and his younger sibling start attending new schools and meet new friends (mostly girls). Both have a mix of comedy and drama, but Hoshizora has more comedy than Mashiroiro. The girls all have a wide variety of hair colors and styles, and there is a small amount of nudity in each.

So it will make more women would be heartbroken. These two anime presented with an exciting romantic story.
