Both Reverse Harems give the same feeling. A strong yet weak at times heroine is protected by a group of handsome guys with special powers. Both heroines are very similar to each other personality-wise and they both fall in love with one of their protectors, not to mention their love for food and their comical situations.
If you've watched one then you will most probably like the other one, though personally Fushigi Yuugi is much better in all aspects (ie: characters, plot and art wise).
in both the main character is a girl, and somehow have protectors. they are both on a mission and have funny moment
both are about a girl who has multaple male companions that fight with or help her save the(or a) world.
in Fushigi Yuugi Miaka is taken into a book called The Universe of the Four Gods to become The Prestes Sakura and has to find her 7 Sakura Warriors.
In Pretear her own world is in danger and her companions find her.
both have a romance that builds between the main girl and one of the companions that makes it interesting.
(The only thing is Fushgi Yuugi has a lot more to it and is more complex)
