As a hard sci-fi anime, Cyberpunk is actually a more edgy and darker version of Cowboy Bebop. Both shows are inspired by and reimagined Western sci-fi classics to show just how insidious and dangerous a world of ever-changing technology can be for humanity. Expect from both anime a fight of a truly good MC with a constant risk of drowning in cynicism and lack of integrity, criticism of the corporate mentality, as well as a good combination of action and light SoL elements.

Both anime has fully alive futuristic dystopia world, Both anime made us care and get emotionally attached to the characters, and Both anime leave us with with a tragic ending.
Idk how cowboy bebop is not the most recommended after watching this
This is litteraly the same anime:
-Same characters (each character of one is in the other)
-Same vibes likes futuristic world
-characters are in both mercenary (in cowboy bebop headhunter)

If you liked the space adventure vibe of cowboy bebop you will like the dynamics of the characters in cyberpunk; both have unique soundtracks
Future themed, the rest is spoilers but if you like pain they're both good. Bebop is obviously better but still.

Both have a great supporting cast, and both are tragic heart wrenching stories full if loss and personal growth. They are both set in the future and follow criminals trying to get through life in their own while dealing with their problems in their setting.

Both are a standalone sci-fi that set off in a dystopic futuristic world through the lens of the outcasts of their societies, who live dangerously in the crime and bounty world while dealing with the elite and higher ups, showing the disparity in treatment, conditions and even support, since the displayed protagonists are just engines in a higher-end machination.
