Just wanted to drop by to tell you that I liked your review for Guilty Crown! It's also one of my favorites, despite also admitting that it has faults, especially in the plot and story progression. I like how honest your review is, and I believe it would be a helpful review for anyone who has a reservation about watching the anime with the polarizing views :)
Nice GC review! Even though it had its problems I still really enjoyed it. I discovered Supercell (Egoist) through this show along with Hiroyuki Sawano (the composer of the OST) and they are both amazing and some of my favorite music comes from them.
Well, I liked Guilty Crown for its unique progression of the story. The plot itself is actually better than you think. The main point is that ANY NORMAL STUDENT would act the way Shu behaves. Yeah, he is so pathetic and miserable, that people watching it feel bad for theirselves. Kinda "anti-shounen" anime.
Guilty Crown is a very interesting anime which makes the viewer react to the actions the main character perform.
It makes you feel kinda betrayed.
For this reason, if you are lookind for an anime with a sophisticated aftertaste, you should try, say, Katanagatari.
Oh, and yeah - Code Geass is actually worse than Guilty Crown. You'll see it.
Wow. Dunno why I'm posting this here and now. Just felt like it.
Saw your Guilty Crown review. I've always just avoided that series by blindly accepting all the criticism. But you've made me curious about it. I also like post-apocalyptic settings. But I always hear such negative things about it :/
