I don't know what stages of school you have but mine is kindergarten (age 6), elementary (7-11), middle school (12-14), and high school (15-18). So I'm a senior in high school and 18 years old. From your message, if we both have the same high school then your elementary is my middle school and you're in the sophomore year of high school and 15-17 years old. Or your high school is my middle school and you're 13 lol.
In my middle school, we have grades but you can get f's and they won't matter at all so maybe I was lucky. In high school though grades are important for college and gpas which is a lot of pressure. I got lucky and my parents don't care much about grades as long as I'm not failing but I wish I tried more my freshman year of high school so I would have had a better gpa right now. I tried really hard right away then got burnt out really fast and stopped trying altogether. I didn't start getting A's again until the next year (sophomore) so I'm happy you were able to fix that pretty fast :D
