Started watching anime 1999. My favorite anime as a kid: Pokemon, Yugioh, Dragon Ball Z, Beyblade, and almost anything toonami/adult swim.

I remember watching Naruto when it premiered for the first time in America around 2005. This was around the time I started going out of my way to watch a variety of anime online. Between 2006-2010 (age 9-13) was one of the periods of my life where I would binge the most anime. Those days you could watch most of your anime on YouTube.

For a few years, I stopped watching anime as much but would still watch some of the popular shows when they would be released and catch up on the shounens I had watched since I was young.

I started binging a wide range of anime again during college in late 2015-early 2016. My MAL account was created in 2016 and comprised of a list of anime I was only able to put together from memory-- I'll often add anime to the list that I just remembered I completed in the past and I'm sure there are more than a few that I still need to remember to add.

My ratings for anime are mainly based on enjoyment, interest, and certain elements of plot/character development. A lot of the time my ratings may increase or lower depending on how I feel when I reflect on different anime -- the impact an anime leaves on you is a major component to how it effects you and it's overall quality.

My favorite characters list is based on the characters I look forward to seeing most in the anime they appear in, character development (which is huge for me), how interesting/entertaining, and is not directly correlated with my favorite anime list.

My favorite anime list is based on enjoyment, impact, re-watch value, and the memories I have of watching them and the periods of time in my life that I did watch them.
