They're awesome if you like some anime with strategy such as Nejimaki Seirei Senki, the strategy parts explained very well that anyone would be interested and could understand easily, that and add some political struggles it's a great story with no things such as plot holes or plot armor. The pacing is slow if you compare it to most anime, but it won't feel THAT draggingly slow so no worry there. The visuals though... it's bad and you need to bear with it for a few episodes, then most likely you will be used to it, but the 3rd season saw a tremendous improvement on this aspects fret not! It is based on the warring states, so if you have read about it, you will know mostly what will happen, but since it's anime, it's been exaggerated and romanticized here and there, but the story more or less the same.
